Colored Film

　It is colored film frequently used on the production site. You do not have to paint the surface and can use it as is. After soaking the film in water and peeling off the back paper, then apply the film on clay surface.
If clay surface is water-sprayed beforehand, the adjustment of the position of application can be done easily and is convenient. You can gently remove the air bubbles and moisture with a rubber spatula and apply the film on clay surface with wiping moisture with paper cloth. The finish even comes out nicely if wiping off all water marks and drops of water with paper cloth.

Clay Modeling Film Clear

It is clear transparent film. Paint the surface of film with the lacquer type paint. After applying the paint and the film gets softened by the paint, soak the film in water and peel off the back paper, then apply the film on clay surface.

To use Clay Modeling Film correctly

Follow the instruction manual and use Clay Modeling Film correctly with following points.

The components of Clay Modeling Film

  • Cardboard and paper made inner pipe ----- Paper
  • Pipe holder ----- Plastic (PP)

  • Cutting the film right before using and applying on the clay model.

    If leaving the cut film as is for a while, the air pocket between the film and clear protective cover causes discoloration and deformation.

  • Cutting the film in straight line

    After cutting the film in roll width, cut the sheet into necessary size. We recommend to cut the film in straight line in roll width. Otherwise, the air coming in from the cut layer might cause discoloration and deformation.

  • Peeling off clear protective cover right away after cutting the film

    The air easily comes in between the film and clear protective cover. The air pocket might cause discoloration and deformation.

  • Rolling the rest of unused sheet of film back very tight

    If not leaving the unused sheet of film tight enough in roll, the air comes in between the film and clear protective cover or it might cause discoloration and deformation. We recommend to roll it back very tight and tape with crepe tape at each end of film, then wrap with plastic bag and put it back into the box.
